Sorry, Shedeur Sanders—ESPN's Ben Solak isn’t sold on your slide to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ on draft night.
ESPN recently created a seven-round QB mock draft where the goal is to laser in on the best fits for 2025 NFL Draft QB prospects—and Alabama Crimson Tide's Jalen Milroe was linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Round 3.
Solak supported the prediction with less of a focus on scheme and more on roster fit:
"The Steelers have two good receivers in DK Metcalf and George Pickens, as well as a young and ascending offensive line. If the running game doesn't take a step back without Najee Harris, Milroe would have the necessary infrastructure to develop whenever the reps come in Pittsburgh."
Solak also acknowledged that Milroe could be in a dream scenario—sitting behind the projected 2025 arrival of Aaron Rodgers.
Will the Pittsburgh Steelers pull the trigger on Milroe? Or, knock on wood, will the Alabama prospect be long gone by the time the Black and Gold get their shot in Round 3?
