Texas A&M HC Michael Earley speaks after 15-12 comeback win over South Carolina

Texas A&M (20-15, 6-9 SEC) is on the verge of turning its season around and potentially returning to the postseason amid the early season struggles. The Aggies have reeled off six consecutive wins, including Saturday's 15-12 comeback after trailing 12-2 entering the bottom of the sixth.

Thanks to Blake Binderup's 2-run home run, combined two runs in the seventh, 12th-man representative Hayden Schott stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth with bases loaded, hitting the first of the Aggies' two grand slams.

Due to patience at the plate, Kaeden Kent stepped up with another bases-loaded opportunity with two outs staring him in the face, hitting an inside fastball to Mars and pulling off the biggest comeback in program history since the 1974 season.

Through six games, all wins, Texas A&M has scored 80 runs. While the team is simply hitting the ball more consistently, the coaching staff, especially first-year head coach Michael Earley, deserves credit for keeping the team focused, even after being shutout and held hitless against Tennessee during the program's last loss in SEC play.

After Saturday's win, Earley spoke to the local media to discuss the victory and the team's mindset moving forward.

"I don't know, I mean, resilience, playing nine innings. It doesn't matter what the score is, and I don't think we played nine because we left a lot of guys on early in the game, but that's why you play a complete game, never stop having good at-bats, and never stop pitching."

Earley went on to praise pitchers Brad Rudis and Caden McCoy, who kept the Aggies clean on the mound to allow the comeback to place, while Kaeden Kent's four hits, combined with Blake Binderup's impressive weekend were both keys to the Aggies staying in every game this weekend.

Before facing Arkansas on the road, starting on Thursday, Texas A&M will host Tarleton State on Tuesday night, looking to extend its winning streak to seven games.
