Tennessee Titans make predictable choice in latest Lance Zierlein mock draft

The 2025 NFL draft is within sight. This annual fan spectacular will kick off in Green Bay in three weeks, and just like NFL teams, analysts are finalizing their pre-draft process.

At this point, all signs point to the Tennessee Titans staying put and taking a quarterback, most likely Miami signal-caller Cam Ward. While there has been no definitive word that he will be the pick, anecdotal evidence in actions and interviews supports that.

Of course, things could change in a heartbeat with this being the smokescreen season, but if that is the case, Tennessee is playing a great game of chess.

You can count NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein as another analyst who believes the Titans will take a quarterback at No. 1 overall, which he does in the third installment of his mock draft

Pick 1  -  Tennessee Titans  -  QB Cam Ward, Miami  -  Senior

The writing appears to be on the wall for the Titans to draft Ward, based on the public buzz that's been building. This would be their third pick used on a quarterback over the past four drafts as they continue their search for "the guy" at the most important position on the field.

Ward has solidified himself as the primary target in almost every outlet's mock draft over the past few weeks, and Tennessee hasn't done anything to dispel that talk. If anything, their actions and comments have added fuel to the fire and have helped steer analysts in this direction.

Ward has possibly moved more than any other prospect during this pre-draft process and is riding a wave of momentum toward the top of the draft. This is quite a rise from a zero-star recruit coming out of high school, whose college journey may have kept him under the radar until genuinely breaking out in 2024 with the Hurricanes.
