No matter where you look for news on the NFL or the 2025 NFL draft, the first thing that pops up is something linking the Tennessee Titans and Miami quarterback Cam Ward to the first overall selection.
While nothing is written in stone, and reports continue to trickle out that the team isn’t completely sold on the idea of drafting the signal caller, it is becoming harder to discount it with every passing day. Even at the NFL owners' meetings, Titans head coach Brian Callahan spoke openly about Ward and how many analysts are changing their tune on his potential and value.
Callahan spoke to Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan from SiriusXM and offered insight into what the Titans see in Ward.

“He’s a really good player and really good quarterback who has some skills that will translate,” Callahan said, “And he’s got a work ethic and intelligence and a personality that’s suited to play the position.”
While Callahan didn’t offer up any of the team's draft plans during the interview and left Titans’ fans craving more information, he did seem to make it clear that the team is highly interested in Ward and has done their homework.
“The best thing he could have ever done is take one more year of playing quarterback,” he said. “He’s really grown over the past year.”
Even though the draft is a little over three weeks away, Ward is the premier quarterback in this class and a viable option at the top of the draft. The only question remains whether the Titans will make the pick or will some team make them an offer they can’t pass up.
Everyone will find out in 22 days when Roger Goodell walks to the podium in Green Bay.
