The Tennessee Titans may have the first pick in the 2025 NFL draft and have seven other picks to use to elevate the team. However, they do not have a third-round pick this year, having traded it to the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback L'Jarius Sneed last season.
Not having that third-round pick makes the Titans' first- and second-round picks ultra-important, especially since Sneed spent the bulk of 2024 nursing injuries.
Sneed signed a four-year, $76.4 million deal that included $44 million at signing, and he missed 12 games in 2024. That means the Titans gave him $44 million to appear in five games after stringing together three impressive years with the Chiefs.
They have not seen the return for that payout, and now that Chidobe Awuzie will wear new colors in 2025, the Titans' secondary really needs Sneed to step up in 2025.
The good news for Titans fans is that it appears Sneed will be ready for training camp this summer.

The other bit of good news for the Titans is that Awuzie didn't play much in 2024, either, so the secondary won't miss him as much as you might think. His play-making ability will still be missed, but the players learned to play without him last year, so it won't be an adjustment to do it again.
Getting Sneed back, though, will be an advantage in 2025. Provided he returns to the player he was before he joined the Titans.
Sneed should be ready for camp, which means he should have plenty of time to get in game shape for the season. The Titans are going to need him this year, so they need to make sure he's rested, healthy, and doing all of the things he's supposed to do to stay that way.
