The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens are familiar with each other after last year's game, which had several key moments for both teams. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw five touchdowns, and running back Derrick Henry ran 15 times for 169 yards in a game that was marred by the gruesome season-ending injury suffered by Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin.
Fast forward several months, and now both teams are reportedly in talks to have joint practices this upcoming preseason.
The practices and game would occur in Baltimore before the Bucs’ only road game of the preseason schedule. Teams have started to utilize joint practices more and more in recent years, and for the Bucs, it would allow them to get a look at their new, healthy defense against one of the best offenses in the NFL.
It could also ironically serve as one of the first moments we see Chris Godwin return to the football field after re-signing with Tampa Bay this offseason.
