The New England Patriots shook things up ahead of the 2025 NFL draft after agreeing to trade quarterback Joe Milton III and a seventh-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth-round pick.
A trade involving Milton was expected after the Patriots signed veteran quarterback Joshua Dobbs to a two-year, $8 million deal in free agency.
Milton had seemingly proven himself as a viable No. 2 option behind quarterback Drake Maye, but the Patriots obviously weren't viewing it that way if they were committing that kind of contract to Dobbs.
According to Mass Live's Mark Daniels and Karen Guregian, Milton wanted out of New England for a chance to compete for a starting quarterback job. Whether he gets an opportunity to do that or not behind Dak Prescott in Dallas remains to be seen.
Let's take a look at the Patriots' updated 2025 draft picks after the Milton trade.
