Eight Georgia basketball transfer portal targets

The Georgia Bulldogs basketball team will likely utilize the NCAA transfer portal this offseason just like almost every other team in the country. Head coach Mike White and Georgia were dealt a major blow when starting point guard Silas Demary Jr. announced his plans to enter the transfer portal and 2025 NBA draft.

Georgia is already losing guards Tyrin Lawrence and Dakota Leffew, who are both out of eligibility. The Dawgs could return shooting guard Blue Cain, but they need a true point guard and may use the transfer portal to land an experienced option.

Georgia is also poised to lose starting forward Asa Newell, who was Georgia's leading scorer and helped the Dawgs return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in a decade, to the 2025 NBA draft. This leaves Georgia with needs at several different positions. It is still early in the transfer portal process, so even more Georgia players could enter the portal, but here's a list of some of the players that UGA has reached out to.
