More than one dozen college football programs jumped in the race early for Lake Wales (Fla.) High School star sophomore Kaneilius Purdy.

"Because Florida State University is known for its rich tradition of excellence, both academically and athletically. The campus is beautiful, with a strong sense of community and school spirit that makes it feel like home. FSU’s football program has a storied history, with passionate fans and a culture of winning. Beyond sports, the university offers top-tier programs in business, engineering, and the arts, making it a great place to grow and succeed."

The early decision brings the Seminoles class of 2027 to a trio of prospects, with Purdy representing the second four-star to jump in to date.
