1 CB the Rams should target on each day of the 2025 NFL Draft

Cornerback has been arguably the most-mocked position to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2025 NFL Draft process. Whether L.A. takes one in the first round or later, the Rams shouldn’t leave this draft without at least one additional secondary piece.

The Rams returned their entire cornerback unit from 2024—which isn’t a good thing. L.A. allowed the 20th-most passing yards and 26th-most passing touchdowns. Those numbers need to be corrected, and adding a high-profile cornerback would be a simple way to solve this issue.

Here are three cornerbacks who could be on the Rams’ radar on each day of the draft.

Day 1: Trey Amos, Ole Miss

There could be a few different players who fall to the Rams’ No. 26 pick, but Amos is one of the most likely names to be there. He finished with four interceptions in one season for Ole Miss after spending time at Alabama and Louisiana. He’s a good size at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, experienced and productive—all good elements of a solid cornerback.

Day 2: O’Donnell Fortune, South Carolina

Fortune converted from safety and would be a versatile secondary piece for the Rams. He finished with three interceptions in 2024 but has tallied seven over the past three seasons in 33 total games. At 6-foot-1, and 185 pounds, Fortune fits the mold as a solid backup who could develop into a starter if called upon.

Day 3: Mello Dotson, Kansas

Dotson is a good ballhawk, with five interceptions this past season. However, he isn’t known as a great tackler and would be better suited in zone coverage schemes. If the Rams are comfortable with their current group of starters, Dotson would be at the bottom of the depth chart to start but not a terrible option.
