New Xavier head coach Richard Pitino and his staff have hit the ground running in building a roster for the 2025-26 season.
After landing its first transfer in forward Filip Borovicanin, who started for Pitino last season at New Mexico, Xavier received a commitment from Valparaiso transfer shooting guard All Wright Thursday.
Weave, the agency that represents Wright, announced the news on social media.

At his introductory press conference, Pitino talked about the importance of developing and retaining key pieces on Xavier's roster. The recruitment of Wright echos that sentiment as a young guard with a lot of potential who has three years of eligibility.
Wright, a Durango, Mexico native who spent his first three prep seasons at Joplin High School in Missouri before transferring to Link Year, was the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Freshman of the Year last season at Valparaiso. In 34 games (31 starts), the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 15.5 points, 2.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds and shot 38.3% from three-point range.
