Butler basketball landed one of the top scorers in the transfer portal as former Purdue Fort Wayne guard Jalen Jackson committed to the Bulldogs on Tuesday.
Jackson, a 6-2 guard and native Hoosier from Fort Wayne averaged 19.2 points per game for the Mastodons. The former Indiana All-Star from Northrop began his college career at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He spent the last two seasons at Purdue Fort Wayne and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Jackson broke out with a 31-point performance against Penn State. He topped 20 points 11 times last season, including a season-high 38 points against IU Indy in late January. Jackson averaged 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 31.3 minutes per game. He struggled from 3 shooting, 26.4%, but he's a career 33% 3-pointer shooter.
