Kent State men's basketball guard Jalen Sullinger to compete in 3-point contest

Kent State men's basketball will have a representative in the 2025 College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.

Golden Flashes guard Jalen Sullinger, a Columbus native, is set to compete in the men's 3-point contest.

In 36 games played last season (22 starts), Sullinger averaged 15.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. More pertinent to the task at hand, Sullinger sunk 38.6% of his 6.3 3-point attempts per contest.

For his collegiate career, he notched a 39.4% clip from beyond the arc.

Joining Sullinger in the 3-point shootout will be: Steven Ashworth (Creighton), Cam Carter (LSU), Caleb Grill (Missouri), Patrick McCaffery (Butler), Tyler McGhie (UCSD), John Poulakidas (Yale) and Payton Sandfort (Iowa).

The athletes competing in the Slam Dunk Championship will be: Lakeem McAiley (East Stroudsburg), Christian Ings (Norfolk State), DeMarr Langford Jr. (Albany), Kylen Milton (Murray State), Christian Shumate (McNeese) and Tevin Smith (Cleveland State).

There will also be a women's 3-point contest during the events. Those competitors include: Sarah Andrews (Baylor), Alyssa Durazo-Frescas (Grand Canyon), Lauren Jensen (Creighton), Ioanna Krimili (Cal), Aaliyah Nye (Alabama), Temira Poindexter (Kansas State), Samantha Puisis (USF) and Ivy Wolf (Dayton).

When is the 2025 College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships? What channel is it on?

The 36th annual event will air live from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday, April 3, starting at 7 p.m. ET.

The events will be televised on ESPN.
