CLEMSON — Clemson baseball has hosted an NCAA tournament regional in every season under third-year coach Erik Bakich, and it is on track to do so again.
The No. 7 Tigers (27-5, 6-3 ACC) have won every series so far this season, including three Atlanta Coast Conference matchups, and are tied for second in the conference standings. They aim to make the College World Series for the first time since 2010 after making an NCAA regional in 2023 as a No. 4 overall seed then reaching the NCAA super regionals last season as a No. 6 overall seed.
Selection Monday (May 26, noon ET), where the full field of 64 for the tournament is announced, is a few months away, but Clemson is featured in the latest projections by Baseball America and D1Baseball.

Baseball America's NCAA tournament projection for Clemson
Baseball America projects Clemson as a No. 7 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, hosting a regional as a No. 1 seed at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, LSU and Florida State all are higher overall seeds than the Tigers.
No. 2 seed Arizona State, No. 3 Northeastern and No. 4 East Tennessee State would be part of the Clemson Regional.

D1Baseball projects Clemson as a No. 4 overall seed, hosting a regional too. Tennessee, Arkansas and Georgia all are higher overall seeds than the Tigers.
The Clemson Regional would include No. 2 seed Auburn, No. 3 Southern California and No. 4 Fordham.
