It's time to vote for the Montgomery area boys and girls athlete of the week, sponsored by Vance Law Firm.
Opp's Nolan Brown won 48% of the boys vote last week after he collected four hits with five RBIs and two runs scored in a 21-1 win over Pike County. On the girls side, Trinity Presbyterian's Harper Johnson claimed 57% of votes after two inside-the-park home runs in the 18-2 win over Montgomery Academy on April 1.
Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers of the week before. To nominate a top performer, have your coach email sports@montgomeryadvertiser.com.
Voting will last until Thursday at noon. Votes will not be accepted via email, only in the polls below.

- Montgomery Academy's Jackson McIntyre shot the team's low round, 75, in play at Dothan's Raider Eagle tournament.
- Opp's Porter Nelson was the winning pitcher, striking out 11 batters, in an 11-3 come-from-behind win against Straughn to clinch the team's 7th-straight area title. Nelson allowed no earned runs. He hit ...
