It's time to vote for the Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the week.
Last week on the boys side Glencoe's Aiden Johnson struck out 12 batters to earn 54% of the vote. On the girls side, Etowah's Kylee Wilder three RBI game earned her 75% of the vote.
Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers of the week before. To nominate a top performer, have your coach email sports@gadsdentimes.com.

- Fyffe's Kendra Fay - 2 doubles, triple, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored while stricking out 15 in a win
- Gaston's Sidney Fitts - 10 strikeouts, 2 RBIs
- Glencoe's Kinlee Montgomery - four goals
