Owen Dobberstein & JD Jacobs, Pewaukee baseball
The pitching duo for the Pirates combined to throw a five-inning no-hitter in a 21-0 victory over Howards Grove with 14 strikeouts in their season opener.
Emily Johnson, Cedarburg softball
The junior dominated in the Bulldogs’ 12-6 victory over Wausau West this past Saturday with a complete-game three-hit, 16-strikeout performance, and also drilled a home run at the plate.
Daniella Riemer, DSHA girls track and field
The future UW-Parkside athlete stood atop the podium at the Greater Metro Conference indoor meet in the long jump (17-10.5), triple jump (35-6), 55-meter high hurdles (8.90) and 55-meter low hurdles (8.69).
Gabe Schmidt, Saint Thomas More baseball
The senior reached base in all seven plate appearances to lead a 2-0 start to the season for STM last week, including five hits led by a double and triple, five RBIs and five runs scored.
Sydney Vitangcol, Wisconsin Lutheran softball
The future Wisconsin Badgers left-hander struck out 28 hitters in 12 innings last week, both resulting in shutout victories for the Vikings. The season-opening 10-0 victory over Lakeside Lutheran was a perfect game for Vitangcol, striking out 14 of the 15 hitters she faced.
