We hope everyone enjoyed the much-needed spring break and maybe even got some sun.
The News Herald is back with the athlete of the week poll, but first, congratulations to Bailee Gladden of North Bay Haven, last week's Florida Power & Light (FPL) athlete of the week.
The athletes listed were chosen from coaches' nominations and game performances.

Softball tournament this week North Bay Haven, Arnold softball earn first-round byes in county tournament

Jackson Ross, Arnold baseball
In six innings, Ross threw seven strikeouts, allowing only three hits in the 2-1 victory over Marianna.
Cooper Moss, Arnold baseball
Moss hit his third home run of the season in the 10-2 victory over Silverdale Academy.
Joey West, Bay baseball
West in relief threw four strikeouts in three innings, only allowing one run in the 8-7 victory over LAMP (AL).
Jack Peaden, North Bay Haven baseball
Peaden threw six strikeouts in five innings in the 15-8 victory over Hooper Academy.
Hunter Bolinger, Mosley baseball
Bolinger in four innings threw six strikeouts in the 8-0 victory over Karns (TN).
Christian Zediker, Mosley baseball
Zediker threw eight strikeouts in the 9-2 victory over McMinn Central (TN).
