Updated Mar. 23 West playoff standings as Thunder hope to beat Clippers for 4th time
The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed. Not surprising considering they've held a double-digit game lead in the standings for most of the season.
The Thunder go on the road for a quick two-game West Coast trip. Their first stop will be against the LA Clippers on Sunday. It's the season's fourth matchup between the two squads as OKC won the first three games.
Less than a month remains in the 2024-25 regular season. Even though the Thunder aren't involved, plenty of heated races for seeding have ramped up as the margin for error gets thinner. Thunder Wire will conduct daily updates on the West's standings until the season ends:
What happened last night?
Hawks 124, Warriors 115: Without Stephen Curry, the Warriors may be screwed. A loss to the Hawks showed that. Trae Young had 25 points and 10 assists. Golden State better hope he doesn't miss too much time or risk sliding down in the standings.
Bucks 114, Kings 108: The Kings lost their composure in a frustrating loss to the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmmpo had a monster 32 points and 17 rebounds. Sacramento could've had a much-needed win but dropped it.
Bulls 146, Lakers 115: This was an embarrassing loss for the Lakers. No reason why they should get blown out like this with LeBron James and Luka Doncic. By the fourth quarter, everybody hoped Josh Giddey would record and ultra-rare quadruple-double. He finished with 15 points, 17 assists, 10 rebounds and eight steals.
