The Philadelphia 76ers dropped their seventh straight game on Saturday when they fell to the Miami Heat 118-95 at home. The loss officially eliminated Philadelphia from playoff contention as the Sixers will miss the playoffs for the first time since Joel Embiid's rookie season in 2016-17.
While the Sixers fell to the Heat, they got some help from the Brooklyn Nets who went into Capital One Arena and knocked off the Washington Wizards 115-112. Philadelphia was able to inch ahead of the Nets in the all important lottery standings. The Sixers are looking to be in the best position to keep their top 6 protected draft pick.
