Top-10 OL prospect, local favorite Will Campell visits Saints before 2025 draft

The New Orleans Saints brought in a big crowd of 2025 draft prospects for their local pro day on Saturday -- and one of the biggest players in that group was LSU left tackle Will Campbell, per NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill. Campbell, projected to be a top-10 pick in this year's draft, is a hometown favorite coming from Monroe, La.

Campbell is a popular pick for the Saints in mock drafts. The only question is whether he'll play guard or tackle in the NFL given his less-than-ideal wingspan and some technical issues working against pass rushers who attack from extremely wide alignments. You can read more in his scouting report here. Since the Saints already have a left tackle in Taliese Fuaga, you'd think Campbell would play guard for them, and then the question becomes whether a guard is worth taking at No. 9. It just isn't a premium position like tackle.

And the Saints bringing in Campbell for a longer look doesn't really tip their hand either way. There have been years where they brought in dozens of players for visits like this and didn't draft any of them. But it is worth noting. Changes are inevitable with Kellen Moore and his new coaching staff packing the team's draft-day war room. Given Moore's success running the ball with the Philadelphia Eagles last year, maybe he's open to a big offensive line investment to help carry that success over to New Orleans.
