Tiger Woods pulls April Fools' prank, says he's playing in 2025 Masters: 'Can't wait!'

Tiger Woods ready to play in the Masters next week? Check the date.

The 15-time major champion pulled everyone's leg Tuesday morning, posting on social media that he was going to, in fact, tee it up in next week's Masters Tournament. He credited sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber for his speedy recovery and seemed jovial in his announcement that he was back.

"I can’t believe I am saying this, but a few weeks after rupturing my left Achilles, the sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber plus the explosive lifts my doctors and trainers have me ready to play the Masters next week! Can’t wait! See y’all on the course."

April Fools.

The only thing Tiger is showing up to next week at Augusta National is the Champions Dinner, where he gets to feast on Scottie Scheffler's spectacular menu options. As far as when we'll see him compete in professional golf again, that may not happen until 2026.

Woods did attach a follow-up tweet, saying his Achilles "is still a mess."

But for now, Big Cat seems content with messing with fans on the biggest prank day of the year. Not much else he can do while he rehabs his injury.
