Texas A&M's 2025 spring season continued during the Aggies' 10th practice. For those who couldn't attend, Gigem247 beat writer Carter Karels provided a concise list of takeaways, including the health of several key players who will be depended on during the 2025 season.
For those unaware, reporters can take photos and video of the first 30 minutes of practice before leaving, meaning one-on-one, seven-on-seven work or 11-on-11 drills cannot be filmed.
Still, thanks to Karels' observations, it was revealed that the quarterbacks, led by Marcel Reed, Jacob Zeno, Miles O'Neill, and freshman Brady Hart, all struggled in some form or fashion. The backup quarterback situation could be shifting after O'Neill lined up next to Reed during the warm-up session.
Accuracy issues are one thing, but Marcel Reed did say earlier this offseason that he wanted to complete nearly 70% of his passes. So, while he has excelled at the middle and sideline throws, his deep ball is still a work in progress, and he needs to continue improving before the spring game.
At wide receiver, redshirt freshmen Ashton Bethel-Roman and Izaiah Williams have continued to shine this spring, showing off their speed, crisp route running, and soft hands that have resulted in more praise than any other receiver on the roster outside of KC Concepcion.
Injury-wise, KC Concepcion did leave practice with a minor injury but should be okay. However, the biggest news was the return of several players who head coach Mike Elko initially ruled out this spring, including cornerback Tyreek Chappell, linebacker Scooby Williams, and freshman cornerback Jamar Beal-Goines, who all participated in Thursday's practice.
Still, Tyreek Chappell's fluid movement during his drill work is a great sign after missing the 2024 season, as his presence in the cornerback rotation is crucial to improving in the secondary.

Ahead of Texas A&M's 11th practice on Saturday, the Aggies will continue to make strides at every position group before the spring game on April 19.
