Seahawks hosting injured star CB on pre-draft visit

The Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2025 NFL draft possibly searching for depth at cornerback. General manager John Schneider re-signed 2024 breakout stud Josh Jobe to continue playing the boundary opposite Riq Woolen. Star defender Devon Witherspoon will continue roaming the defensive backfield as the nickel corner.

Despite the Seahawks possibly just looking for depth, they are hosting a star cornerback prospect on a pre-draft visit. East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is visiting The Emerald City, according to various reports. Revel Jr.'s visit will occur on April 14th, per Corbin K. Smith.

Revel Jr. was largely considered a first-round cornerback prospect entering the 2024 college football season. The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native unfortunately suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury during a team practice. Though Revel Jr. is reportedly ahead of schedule in his recovery, it has complicated his pre-draft stock and overall evaluation.

Revel Jr. was elite throughout the 2023 season, recording 54 tackles and 13 pass breakups. Revel Jr. appeared in just three contests in 2024 before suffering the knee injury. He had already racked up two interceptions, including one pick-six touchdown. If the knee injury forces him to slide, Schneider could be ready to pounce on a supremely talented defender with one of Seattle's five top 100 picks.
