Shedeur Sanders heads to a surprise top-10 team in latest NFL mock draft

After Colorado's pro day last Friday, it appears likely that one of Shedeur Sanders or Travis Hunter will be headed to the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 overall in the upcoming NFL draft.

The Browns sent a large contingent to Boulder to get an up close and personal look at Colorado's star duo. Owner Jimmy Haslam even took both players out to dinner Thursday evening. At this point, it would be shocking if the Browns did not select a Colorado player.

In Touchdown Wire's latest mock draft, the Browns select Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and view him as a game-changing receiver. Hunter would immediately become Cleveland's top offensive option.

As for Shedeur Sanders, he lands in a surprise spot that not many have projected as a possible destination. The New Orleans Saints trade up from No. 9 to No. 6 with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Saints sent representatives to Boulder last week and seemingly have done their homework on every quarterback in the draft.

Sanders will develop for a year under Derek Carr before becoming the starter. After such a big move up the draft, Kellen Moore's head coaching journey will start and end with Sanders.

Deion Sanders hinted last week that he "likes these colors," referring to Colorado's black and gold color scheme. The Saints also happen to sport the same scheme, perhaps hinting that he would not mind Shedeur ending up in New Orleans.

The NFL draft will take place April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
