The Seattle Seahawks' biggest acquisition of the offseason arguably occurred when they signed veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp to a three-year contract worth $45 million. And for the first time since luring the Yakima, Washington native home, general manager John Schneider discussed his addition at the league's annual ownership meetings. Schneider was elated to add Kupp to the Seahawks' offense.
"A huge get for us," Schneider said in response to a question about Kupp. Noting that new Seahawks passing game coordinator Jake Peetz coached Kupp with the Rams, Schneider added, "So we felt like we really knew the person, knew what we were getting into. He had like three, four teams he was talking to, and he wanted to come home," Schneider concluded.

Kupp, the MVP of Super Bowl LVI, played college football locally at Eastern Washington University. The Los Angeles Rams released him from his contract earlier this offseason in a cost-cutting move. The Seahawks convinced him to join them despite being NFC West rivals with his former team.
Kupp is tasked with helping replace DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett at wide receiver. Together, he'll form a new-look duo at wideout with Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Seahawks have undergone sweeping changes at the position this offseason, but they're showing confidence in Kupp.
