Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider has been both active and cautious during the NFL free agency period. Big-money acquisitions include quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Other than those two, Schneider has mostly added role players, a list that includes Josh Jones, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, DeMarcus Lawrence, and more.
Perhaps the Seahawks are now focused on the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite potentially shifting attention, the Seahawks are still equipped with a ton of financial flexibility in free agency. Schneider possesses roughly $36.1 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap's updated numbers.

The Seahawks possess the fifth-most space in the league, trailing just the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and Detroit Lions. As Seattle Times reporter Bob Condotta notes, the Seahawks currently have 68 players under contract. With 10 scheduled picks in the 2025 NFL draft, that leaves room for 12 undrafted free agents. Schneider could obviously create space for additional roster moves.
The Seahawks still possess roster holes across the offensive line, at wide receiver, and potentially at linebacker and safety. Veteran additions remain within the realm of possibility given Schneider's salary cap flexibility. The Seahawks could still improve the roster via free agency.
