Ravens awarded international marketing rights to the United Kingdom

The Ravens are among the NFL's gold standards, and on Monday, they were again rewarded for constant innovation and unconventional thinking.

The NFL previously announced that International Home Marketing Areas (IHMA) had been approved. Initially, the Philadelphia Eagles were granted access to Australia, New Zealand, and Ghana—the first NFL club to enter a market in Africa. The program initially included 19 teams, granting access to 30 IHMAs across 10 countries until Monday.

The Ravens and the league announced they've been awarded the United Kingdom as part of the NFL Global Markets Program.

In total, 29 clubs will participate in the program across 21 international markets—up from 25 clubs across 19 markets in 2024—as the NFL continues to prioritize global growth and connect with more fans worldwide.

“The expansion of the Global Markets Program in 2025 reflects the NFL’s continued focus to grow the game and connect with fans on a global scale,” said NFL Executive Vice President, Club Business, Major Events & International Peter O'Reilly. “With more clubs entering the program and existing clubs adding to their global rights, and as the program expands to new markets, we are seeing strong momentum and impact in growing fandom worldwide together.”

The organization can now market and hold engagement/commercialization efforts in those countries, hoping to organically grow fan bases in those areas.

The Ravens first played at London's Wembley Stadium in 2017 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, then returned in 2023 and defeated the Tennessee Titans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The UK Ravens is a fan group that started in 2003 and has brought Baltimore Ravens fans together in the UK and Ireland ever since. They host a weekly podcast, regular meet-ups during the season, and an annual trip to the US to see the team play.

Purple and gold signify royalty and are prevalent in the UK's monarchy.
