Randall's girls soccer team has punched its ticket to the state championship.
After defeating Godley 1-0 in the Region I-4A Division II finals, the Lady Raiders took down Aubrey 1-0 on Friday night in Burkburnett behind a goal early in the second half off the foot of Kyndal McClain. The state semifinal victory puts Whitney Bernard's team in the UIL title match for the first time in school history.
RHS' trip to the state semifinals this season was its second in school history and first since 2010, securing the current group's place in Randall's history.
The Lady Raiders are now 21-5-1 on the season after defeating Bridgeport, San Elizario, Benbrook, Godley and Aubrey to reach the state finals.
Next up for Bernard's squad is the Class 4A Division II state championship match, which will be played on April 11 at 11 a.m. from Birkelbach Field in Georgetown. Randall will meet Wimberley in the state title after the Lady Texans beat El Campo in the state semifinals.
When Randall and Wimberley meet in Georgetown, it will be the second time during the 2024-25 school year that the two schools have competed in the state finals. During the fall semester, Randall's tennis team took down the Texans to secure a state championship.
Randall is on the hunt for its third state title of the school year after taking home Class 4A titles in tennis and boys wrestling.
