The opening games for the Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase presented by PNC Bank have been postponed due to the expected rain. Makeup games are to be determined.
The annual showcase was slated to open Saturday with a triple-header at the University of Cincinnati's baseball stadium: Mason vs. Moeller, Harrison vs. St. Xavier and Anderson vs. Ryle. The opener between Mason and Moeller is a rematch of last year's Division I regional championship game, which Mason won en route to its first state championship. Moeller is ranked No. 1 in Ohio in the preseason and in the top 10 in multiple national rankings.
In addition to multiple games at Xavier University next week, the Reds will celebrate Jackie Robinson in a series of games Saturday, April 12.
The Reds will host a series of games at the Reds Youth Academy in Roselawn, featuring teams from many Cincinnati Public schools, in celebration of the 78th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier. The event will also include a college game between two HBCU schools.
