Two-Minute Drill for April 3: Gators in Final Four; High school all-area winter teams

The Florida Gators posted a massive comeback Saturday against Texas Tech to secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament Final Four.

All four No. 1 seeds made the national semifinals, something that hasn’t happened since 2008.

Florida will play SEC foe Auburn at 6:09 p.m. Saturday.

The Gators defeated the Tigers 90-81 in their only meeting earlier this season.

On the other side of the bracket, Duke will take on Houston at 8:49 p.m. Saturday.

The winners will meet for the national championship on Monday at 8:50 p.m.

High school winter all-area teams

Over the course of the next few weeks, most Gannett sites in the state of Florida will be rolling out their all-area teams.

In the Jacksonville area, it’s called the All-First Coast team. In Brevard, it’s all-Space Coast. In other areas, it’s simply all-area.

Teams include girls and boys basketball, girls and boys soccer and girls and boys wrestling.
