The greater Milwaukee area set the pace for the state in boys basketball for the 2024-25 season with two Mr. Basketball finalists, six state-qualifying teams and three WIAA state championship teams: Wisconsin Lutheran in Division 1, Wauwatosa West in D2 and Milwaukee Academy of Science in D3.
Choosing three all-area boys basketball teams from our 15 area conferences is a tremendously selective endeavor. Those who made the cut this year were not just standouts in their team or conference, but put the entire area on notice each time they took the floor. Here are the all-area first, second and third teams, as well as the coach of the year and 15 honorable mention players.

Jamarion Batemon, 6-4, sr., G, Milwaukee Academy of Science
The Novas entered the 2024-25 season with high hopes for a senior class led by Batemon, which he and his teammates ultimately delivered on with a program-first title in Madison this past month. The Iowa State recruit was crucial to that run, leading MAS in scoring (25.6 points per game) while also contributing on the glass (5.1 rebounds per game) and with his passing (2.0 assists per game).
