Here are The State Journal-Register 2025 Wrestlers of the Year and All-Area Team

Hare are The State Journal-Register's wrestlers of the year and all-area team for 2025:

Cody Moss, Chatham Glenwood

The junior added to the school’s illustrious past on the mat.

He became the school's second-ever boys wrestling state champion at the State Farm Center in Champaign with a 9-7 decision over East Peoria’s Jose Del Toro.

His Class 2A state title at 285 pounds joins former Glenwood standout Drew Davis’ repeat titles in 2022 and 2023 at the lower weights.

Moss, who ultimately finished 39-5, is The State Journal-Register's Large School Wrestler of the Year.

"I've been dreaming of this since I was a kid: being a state champ," Moss said. "This is just incredible. Just incredible. It's so surreal to actually be here and experiencing it."
