Now it's time for readers to pick their wrestler of the year.
The Athens-area had 11 state champions, 10 boys and one girl between Athens Christian, Bethlehem Christian, Commerce, Jefferson and North Oconee.
Below are the first-team nominees for the wrestling postseason all-area team. These are athletes who medaled at the state competition. For the girls, due to small numbers, the honorable mentions will be listed to vote from, too.
