The Oklahoma City Thunder held practice on Tuesday. They're fresh off a 145-117 win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday where Josh Giddey's return was spoiled. OKC has won 10 straight and looks to be peaking at the right time with the playoffs around the corner.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and Cason Wallace talked to the local media after practice. Daigneault discussed Chet Holmgren's recent play and the importance of rhythm. Meanwhile, Wallace was the latest teammate to campaign for Lu Dort to be Defensive Player of the Year.
As the Thunder wrap up a four-game homestand, here's a recap of their Tuesday, Apr. 1 practice:

Mark Daigneault on SGA: “He became so good as an iso player that you’re tempted to commit more bodies to him than just his primary defender. I think what he’s learned is the faster he plays — not necessarily the primary guy, but the secondary guys — to set. He beats the help.”

Mark Daigneault on Chet Holmgren’s rhythm: “Critical but not something to be forced. You gotta take it as it comes.. He’s not fully himself yet.. You can’t force rhythm. It’s like you’re at a wedding and say, ‘Dance better!’ That’s not gonna help. You gotta dance with the music.” pic.twitter.com/TfMZZIiBfX

Mark Daigneault calls the SGA-Joe duo on their best staples. Talked about their chemistry: “This year, we’ve drifted from that a little bit in the interest of the development of the team. We’ve moved Joe into the 2nd unit a little bit more because it’s allowed him to expand.”

Cason Wallace on his shot-blocking: “You can anticipate sometimes. You can only take 2 steps. Just time it up.”
