The Oklahoma City Thunder have clinched the first seed. Not surprising considering they've held a double-digit game lead in the standings for most of the season.
The Thunder return to national TV when they host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. It's the final game of a four-game homestand as OKC has won 10 in a row.
Only two weeks remain in the 2024-25 regular season. Even though the Thunder aren't involved, plenty of heated races for seeding have ramped up as the margin for error gets thinner. Thunder Wire will conduct daily updates on the West's standings until the season ends:
What happened last night?
Bucks 133, Suns 123: It's a one-man show on the Suns with Kevin Durant out. Devin Booker might've had 39 points and 11 assists but the rest of Phoenix were no-shows. The Bucks led for most of the contest.
Warriors 134, Grizzlies 125: It continues to be pure chaos in Memphis. It's threatening to fall in the play-in range with another loss. Stephen Curry had a vintage outing with 52 points and shot 12-of-20 from 3.
Timberwolves 140, Nuggets 139 (OT): This was a late Game of the Year candidate. It was pure entertainment as both squads made plenty of loud mistakes to extend this beyond regulation. Nikola Jokic had a 61-point triple-double spoiled when Russell Westbrook fouled Nickeil Alexander-Walker on a late 3-pointer to seal the result.
