Michigan Sports Writers Division 1 all-state boys basketball teams released

The final release of the Michigan Sports Writers boys basketball all-state teams have dropped, with Division 1 teams now announced.

Loaded with some of the top players in the state, the Division 1 group also includes Player of the Year Trey McKenney of Orchard Lake St. Mary, who also collected the Mr. Basketball honor in the state.

Division 1 state champion East Lansing also had coach Ray Mitchell earn the Coach of the Year honor, with two players then named first team.

The Division 2 all-state team was released Thursday, following the Division 3 and Division 4 squads from a panel of statewide Michigan sports writers.
