Michigan CB Will Johnson has official visit with Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are in the middle of their draft preparation as the 2025 NFL draft is in under a month. One part of the process is bringing players in for official visits at the team's headquarters. Teams can have up to 30 official visits with draft prospects and we know of a few. We learned a while back that they had a top-30 meeting scheduled with Texas A&M pass rusher Shemar Stewart and that they brought in Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo.
Another player they have brought in for a top-30 visit is Michigan cornerback Will Johnson.
Johnson revealed he already had visits with the Cardinals and the Atlanta Falcons, and that he has been training in Arizona.
Johnson is a possible selection for the Cardinals with the 16th pick in the draft and has appeared in a few recent mock drafts as the Cardinals' selection.
Draft another cornerback? They have selected five in the last two drafts and three with picks in the top 90. They spent money on Sean Murphy-Bunting and have used Star Thomas as a starter after claiming him off waivers in 2023.
But teams can never have enough guys who can cover. There are some concerns about his long speed but his length and playmaking are undeniable. While he isn't the most likely player the Cardinals select at No. 16, if he is available, he will certainly be considered.
