Mock draft data for Arizona Cardinals

It is mock draft season and one of the more popular things to do is to do mock draft simulations. Fans and analysts use them. Cards Wire's weekly mock drafts have been run with Pro Football Network's simulator.

One cool thing with the simulators is the data we can learn from them.

Here is what we know about PFN's simulator and the users that make picks. Users love to mock pass rushers to the Cardinals.

Here is some of the data.

Positional data for mock drafts

  • Feb. 4-18:
    • 29.5% of users selected an EDGE with Round 1 pick
    • 16.1% of users selected a DT with Round 1 pick
    • 14.4% of users selected a WR with Round 1 pick
  • March 18-24:
    • 37.5% of users selected an EDGE with Round 1 pick
    • 17.0% of users selected a DT with Round 1 pick
    • 13.5% of users selected an WR with Round 1 pick

It would seem that everyone wants or believes the Cardinals will land defensive player up front.
