LSU guard Last-Tear Poa enters transfer portal

Last-Tear Poa is the latest LSU women's basketball player to enter the transfer portal. Per On3's Talia Goodman, the junior guard entered on Wednesday to go in search of a new program.

Through three seasons with the Tigers, Poa won a national championship and made it to the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight three times. In 2024-25, she started 15 games and played 10 or more minutes in five of LSU's six postseason games.

A five-foot-11 point guard, Poa worked under head coach Kim Mulkey to lead an offense with Flau'Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow as the dominant scorers. Poa often served as a facilitator for LSU's go-to options but wasn't much of a scorer herself.

Poa also played two seasons with former LSU All-American Angel Reese, including the national championship season. As one three substitutes against Iowa, Poa scored six points and dished out two assists en route to winning the program's first national title.

Poa's 2025 was up and down as LSU struggled to find consistency at the point guard position. She was also held out from a contest due to disciplinary reasons.

Poa is the second Tiger to enter the portal after Sa'Myah Smith did the same earlier in the week.
