In an interview with Italian media La Gazzetta, former Bayern Munich man Benjamin Pavard reflected on his time with the club.
The full-back who now represents Inter Milan, the Bavarian’s upcoming Champions League opponents, stated he still has connections to the team.
“I still have a lot of friends there, from [Kingsley] Coman and [Dayot] Upamecano to Raphael Guerreiro.
“My French teammate [Michael] Olise also signed there. I developed a lot there in four wonderful years and won everything,” Pavard said.
The 29-year-old discussed the upcoming quarter-final tie and where he draws the key battlegrounds for the two-legged affair.
“Now I am defending the colours of the Nerazzurri. It will be a very even match, a fifty-fifty. Whoever defends better will win.
“Bayern love possession and attack with quality down the flanks – from [Serge] Gnabry to [Leroy] Sane.
“We have to keep a cool head when we have possession and also be prepared to defend. There will be moments we have to suffer, but we will get chances,” he concluded.
