Giants 2025 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Most experts predicting Big Blue to stay at No. 3, take available Colorado star
The Giants enter the 2025 NFL Draft with the third overall pick.
After a 3-14 season, how will New York use its first-round selection?
Here's what the experts have the Giants doing...
QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Sanders might not be the biggest, strongest or fastest passer, but he throws with anticipation from the pocket and can test defenses with his feet when facing man coverage. The Giants have lacked a true leader at the quarterback position for years; Sanders works to make his teammates better and knows what it means to play under the spotlight.
CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado
The debate of best player available boils down to Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, in my opinion. With Carter off the board, New York goes in the direction of Hunter, who could fill either or both cornerback and wide receiver roles for that organization. Wide receiver is less of a need with Darius Slayton back in the fold.

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
It's no secret New York is in search of its next quarterback. DraftKings currently puts the Giants at a 66% implied probability to select a passer with their first pick, and they've been linked to Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers at different points this offseason. Even if the G-Men bring in a veteran like Rodgers, I still wouldn't rule out a quarterback at No. 3 overall, especially if they feel Shedeur Sanders can be their long-term answer. Though he isn't universally viewed as a top-five prospect, it only takes one team to believe in his upside. Should Sanders slip past New York, his draft stock could tumble, due to the limited number of QB-needy teams remaining.
PROBABILITIES OF FIRST POSITION DRAFTED: QB (66%), CB (17%), DL (9%)
QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
The QB carousel continues to spin and the Giants still don't have a seat. The longer that's the case, the more likely it is they address it here. It's also possible the Giants could go with a veteran bridge option and still take Sanders, though that's a scenario that could be a nightmare with the local media.
Brent Sobleski, Bleacher Report
CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado
If the New York Giants don't have a pathway toward acquiring the No. 1 overall pick and miss out on the class' top two quarterback prospects, the organization can still select the incoming No. 1 overall prospect in Colorado's Travis Hunter, with the move not coming across as a consolation prize.
The Giants lack pizzazz, especially after allowing Saquon Barkley to leave and win a Super Bowl with the rival Philadelphia Eagles.
Hunter is a superstar waiting to happen, whether he's primarily a cornerback or wide receiver.
"The Giants get excellent value with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner," Bleacher Report Scouting Department's Matt Holder said. "Hunter is an upgrade over Deonte Banks, who has underperformed since being a first-round pick two years ago, and gives Big Blue's offense a good fourth receiver when needed.
"The Colorado product can be an immediate starter on defense and a contributor on offense. He's expressly stated he wants to play both."
QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
I’ll be curious to see what the Giants do here. If Abdul Carter is available at No. 3, that might change things, but in this scenario, they secure their answer at quarterback.
QB Cam Ward, Miami
No. 1 pick via trade with Tennessee Titans
With Tommy DeVito as the only quarterback currently on the roster, it isn't a matter of if the Giants make a move at this point, but when and for whom. Adding a veteran like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson could serve as the proverbial Band-Aid, but this club needs a long-term solution. Ward has more boom-and-bust traits than most quarterbacks in position to be the first pick of an NFL Draft, but he offers an exciting upside. He leaves college football as the all-time passing touchdowns champion (158) and his steady improvement as a passer is undeniable. He'd add an immediate buzz to a franchise needing it.
OT Armand Membou, Missouri
Whoever is eventually the starter for the Giants in 2025 will need to be better protected than past quarterbacks in the Brian Daboll era. Membou is a powerful blocker with elite testing numbers.
