NFL insider: 'Zero chance' Cam Ward falls to No. 3 in 2025 NFL draft
The New York Giants currently have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, and if they decide not to sign Aaron Rodgers, it is largely thought they will draft a quarterback with that pick.
The problem is which quarterbacks will be available. The Giants and many other teams are heavily interested in Cam Ward, but the likelihood that they can get him with the third pick is, well, zero.
Recently, ESPN's Adam Schefter spoke on the DiPietro & Rothenberg show, and said there is "zero chance" that Cam Ward falls past No. 1.
Is there any chance Cam Ward falls to the #Giants at No. 3 overall?@AdamSchefter answered with @HDumpty39 & @RothenbergESPN.

"Zero chance, zero chance that Cam Ward is going to make it to the Giants at three. Just not going to happen. So, I expect that Cam Ward will be the number one pick in the draft, whether that's Tennessee or Cleveland or the New York Giants making that pick," he said. "And this is all part of the process, right? You begin to evaluate all these guys, teams do deeper and deeper dives into them. From my perspective in talking to more and more people, before the combine, after the combine, and I'm just telling you, the conversations I've had have convinced me that Cam Ward will be the number one pick. And, certainly the first quarterback off the board, and certainly, I think, the number one overall guy."
Basically, if the Giants really want to bring Ward to New York, they're going to have to convince the Tennessee Titans to trade out of that top pick. Considering the Titans need a quarterback as desperately as the Giants, that might take some doing.
The draft is still six weeks away, so general manager Joe Schoen has some time to figure out the best way to handle this. But if he doesn't bring in Rodgers and he doesn't draft Ward, it's going to be a long season for Big Blue.
