Georgia Bulldog star expected to attend NFL draft

Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Mykel Williams is set to attend the 2025 NFL draft, which will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26.

Williams is the first Georgia player that is reported, per Dane Brugler, to be attending the draft. He is projected to be a first-round pick. Williams' NFL draft projections vary significantly because he never produced more than five sacks in a season at Georgia, but has elite physical traits and put together some dominant performances in 2024 despite being limited with an ankle injury.

Williams is predicted to go No. 17 to the Cincinnati Bengals in a recent mock draft. His combination of athleticism, technique and potential will be too much for NFL teams to pass up in the first-round of the draft.

Williams is one of three Georgia Bulldogs that are projected to be first-round picks in the draft with the other two being linebacker Jalon Walker and safety Malaki Starks. Walker and Starks are both candidates to attend the draft, which typically only invites players projected to go in the first-round.
