His 91 assists led Virginia Tech. Rechsteiner played in 58 games over two seasons at Virginia Tech.

He's rated as a four-star transfer by 247Sports.

Rechsteiner averaged 18 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game as a senior Etowah High School in Georgia. As a high school recruit he was a four-star and the 87th-best prospect in the class, per 247Sports.

While CSU can't officially comment on recruits until they sign, coach Ali Farokhmanesh shared a celebration post on X after the commitment.

Rechsteiner is part of the family of famous "Steiner Brothers" of wrestling. His dad, Scott Rechsteiner, and uncle, Rick Rechsteiner, are a professional wrestling tag team.

Brandon Rechsteiner is the fourth transfer commit so far this offseason for CSU and all are either ranked as four-star transfers or were four-star recruits out of high school.
