Former Dolphins QB worked out for Cardinals

Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley worked out for the Arizona Cardinals earlier this week, according to a league memo.

Huntley, 27, joined the Dolphins in September 2024 after starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in the team's Week 2 game that sent him to injured reserve. Huntley was on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad after spending most of the 2024 offseason with the Cleveland Browns.

After a week behind Skylar Thompson and Mike White on the depth chart, Huntley took over as the Dolphins' starter for three games and then was forced into the lineup again in Weeks 17 and 18.

But after steady improvement in his first four Miami starts, including a 22-of-26 passing performance against the Cleveland Browns, Huntley struggled in the Dolphins' season finale, finishing with two interceptions and four fumbles in a loss to the New York Jets.

While the Dolphins once showed interest in keeping Huntley beyond the 2024 season, they opted to sign former Jets and Denver Broncos quarterback Zach Wilson to be Tagovailoa's backup in 2025.

The Cardinals signed quarterback Jacoby Brissett earlier this offseason to a two-year, $12.5 million deal to back up Kyler Murray. Arizona also has 2023 fifth-round pick Clayton Tune on its roster.
