Former All-Pro has Tennessee Titans selecting a familiar name in his first 2025 mock draft

With the NFL draft just three weeks away, this is the time of the season when fans are overwhelmed by mock drafts. Everywhere they turn, they are met with an onslaught of new material.

Unfortunately, mock drafts are becoming highly repetitive to fans of the Tennessee Titans. Most are convinced the team has narrowed its search to a single player for their pick at No. 1 overall. While that may be the case, the Titans’ front office has been very upfront that no decision has been made.

Former All-Pro running back and now analyst Maurice Jones-Drew has finally released his first mock draft of 2025, and Titans’ fans should recognize the name.

Pick 1  -  Tennessee Titans  -  QB Cam Ward  -  Miami

Ward made his case to be Tennessee's selection with a solid pro day workout, showing Titans’ brass his strong arm, accuracy, and playmaking ability. The Miami product would make the Titans an immediate contender in the AFC South.

Jones joins the chorus of analysts who have pegged Ward as the selection, and rightfully so. Ward is arguably the top quarterback prospect in this class, and the Titans need a quarterback.

Ward has been heading to the Titans atop most mock drafts since his Pro Day and would appear to be a safe bet at this point in the process, although things can change quickly this time of year.

There is still some time left for things to play out, and many different scenarios are on the table before the draft kicks off on April 24. What the Titans will do remains anyone's guess.
