In the middle of March Madness, it might have snuck past some people that the 2025 United Football League (UFL) season officially kicked off this past weekend.
Yes, the spring professional football league officially began its' second-ever season this past weekend, as a total of four games featuring eight teams were played from Friday through Sunday.
Included on those eight UFL teams were also multiple former Alabama Crimson Tide football players, many of which were prominent names during their time in Tuscaloosa, as well as even starters at one point in time.
Here is a list of every former Alabama football player who is on a UFL roster entering the 2025 season.
Deonte Brown, Offensive Guard - Birmingham Stallions
The former Alabama offensive guard spent the 2024 season with the UFL champions, and is now back with them in 2025 as well. Brown, a former sixth round pick in 2021 by the Carolina Panthers, is likely to be a key member of the Stallions' offensive front this season.
Shyheim Carter, Cornerback - Birmingham Stallions
Carter is the lone other former Alabama player starting the season with the Stallions, with this also his first year with Birmingham after signing in the offseason as a free agent. The former Alabama cornerback was an undrafted free agent following his collegiate career, and has since spent time on various practice squads.
Christopher Allen, Linebacker - Houston Roughnecks
The former Alabama linebacker is back for year two with the Houston Roughnecks after amassing 12 tackles with three TFL across six games a year ago. Joining Allen on the Roughnecks are also a pair of former Alabama transfers in Ben Davis and Eyabi Okie-Anoma, both of which finished their collegiate careers elsewhere.
Austin Jones, Kicker - Michigan Panthers
Lastly, Jones is the lone former Alabama player who will suit up for the Michigan Panthers. Jones was a kicker for the Crimson Tide in 2018 who saw limited action during his lone season in Tuscaloosa.
