Erie County's top performing athletes for the week of April 6-12

The Erie Times-News, from now through late May, will compile weekly lists of notable feats achieved by Erie County's varsity athletes.

This week's top performers are:

Baseball

Heath Betza, Harbor Creek: The Mercyhurst University recruit tied the Huskies' single-game record with three home runs during their 12-2 victory vs. Fort LeBoeuf.

Joe Stephan, McDowell: The third baseman's four-hit, four-RBI performance at the plate highlighted the offense for the Trojans when they defeated Erie High 18-3 in three innings.

Softball

Addison Lucas, Harbor Creek: The Akron University recruit pitched a six-inning, no-hitter en route to the Huskies' 10-0 shutout of the Warren Dragons.

Boys lacrosse

Nate Klan, Cathedral Prep: His four-goal effort accounted for a hefty portion of the offense when the Ramblers defeated Buffalo St. Francis 13-6.
