NFL Draft: Deion Sanders hints at Browns plans with No. 2 pick

Ahead of Colorado Football's pro day and the 2025 NFL draft, head coach Deion Sanders met with Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.

Afterward, he was asked about his interaction with the Browns' owner by Cleveland dot com's Mary Kay Cabot. His answer was telling and quite intriguing. Sanders called Haslam a good guy and called the conversation enlightening. It was how he ended the quote that is most intriguing to those in Northeast Ohio, however. This also comes after Haslam told the media that the team would not force a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick.

"I think one of those guys is going to be there."

And by one of those guys, Sanders is referring to either his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, or wide receiver/cornerback hybrid player Travis Hunter. It was just a day later that The Athletic's Jeff Howe reported that league circles are beginning to gather consensus that the Browns are going to take Hunter with the second overall pick in the draft.

With less than three weeks until the NFL draft, the Browns' plans will soon come to fruition.
